In Loving Memory of Chris Nichols (November 21, 1980 – September 5, 2025)
Chris Nichols was deeply proud to bring Ridgeline Sales Group, LLC to the local communities of West Central Illinois. With nearly 20 years of real estate experience and a team of close to 20 professionals by his side, he built a company known for its strength, service, and community roots. Before starting Ridgeline, Chris was a co-owner of Pike County Real Estate, Inc. and PCRE Real Estate & Auction, Inc., where he established himself as a trusted leader in the industry.
Originally from upstate New York, Chris’s love for the outdoors shaped much of his life. His passion for whitetail deer and land management led him to Mississippi State University in 2003, where he worked on a vegetation study and later took on a role as a videographer and editor with Mossy Oak Productions in West Point, MS. Those years gave him the chance to travel North America, form lifelong connections, and ultimately find his way to Pike County, Illinois—the whitetail capital of the world.
Pike County soon became not only the place Chris worked, but the place he called home. Together with his wife, Nikki, son Lucas, stepdaughter Lila, and stepson Liam, Chris built his life here. For nearly two decades, he specialized in farmland, hunting properties, and homes throughout the area, creating a business rooted in relationships. Many of his clients became close friends, a testament to the way he treated people—with honesty, kindness, and respect.
Chris leaves behind more than just a thriving real estate company—he leaves behind a legacy of dedication, friendship, and service to his community. His passion for helping people, his deep knowledge of the land, and his ability to connect with others will continue to guide Ridgeline Sales Group as we carry his vision forward.
